PHASE3: TOKYO, JAPAN
Tokyo, Japan [S1-E0] Tokyoc10
Tokyo, Japan [S1-E0] Tokyo310Tokyo, Japan [S1-E0] Tokyo410
Tokyo, Japan [S1-E0] Tokyo210
Information: This location is reserved for Team 1. Start your session where Sakurai left off, which was getting on the bus, and exiting at your designated location(s). Everyone on team 1 has been issued a picture through text message on the description of the cursed. We will also try to wrap this up before 15 posts.
Spoiler:

Unlike the rest of the teams who mostly had examiners, Team one wouldn't receive much support. This was due to the higher-ups observing Iko Kamo and how she interacted with her environment along with a stronger cursed spirit. They wanted to see her intelligence up-close, which was sick. If her two teammates had any brain cells, they would figure this wasn't meant to be standard for beginners and were seen as disposable. The principal and the rest of the staff would be unaware of the incident about to occur. Each member on team 1 was sent a message of the Slicer's Profile, however, the mentioning of his ability was extremely bare. Cutting? That was it? As far as locating it, team 1 was also at a disadvantage for that as well. All they could do was hunt it down together with their current level of experience. Since they had no authority guiding over them, they might have felt they needed to stay and defeat the spirit even if things were increasingly too hard.

Some time had passed after Nagi's introduction to his teammates Iko Kamo and Jin Ryu, both of which he had gotten the chance to know a little during their bus trip to the location. During this time Nagi made sure to make one thing clear and that was that he preferred to be referred to by his first name Nagi over his surname Seijūrō, which was rather odd given the fact that they had only just met. The reason for this desire came as a result of his dislike for the majority of the Seijūrō Clan he belongs to, though that would be a story for another day. Now back to the situation at hand, it wouldn't be long before the bus arrived at the location of the cursed spirit sighting. Once the bus had come to a halt Nagi would stand up and head toward the exit, as he stepped off of the bus he felt his phone vibrate. So, as he finished exiting the bus Nagi stepped to the side and took out his phone, and as he looked down he saw the message that he received contained information on the cursed spirit that they were here to deal with. As he read he saw one thing that really stood out and that was the grade of this cursed spirit, it would seem as though they really didn't care about their safety seeing as they were sending three lone not even students yet after a Semi-Grade 2 cursed spirit.

"Well, guys it looks like we might be in a little trouble. As long as we work together and don't do anything stupid we should have a chance," said Nagi as he clearly was commenting on the level of difficulty a Semi-Grade 2 and the clear lack of any supervision. This made Nagi begin to question whether or not they were the only ones in such a situation, a question which he would like the answer most likely wouldn't like the answer to. "Seeing as you are the Captain Kamo-san what do you reckon we should do, especially seeing as we are dealing with a Semi-Grade 2," said Nagi making sure nobody who wasn't a sorcerer was within earshot as to not trigger any commotion or panic. As Nagi would wait for a reply from the rest of the team he would take another look at this phone realising that the capabilities of this cursed spirit were single word Cutting. The first thought that popped into his head as he closed his phone and put it away was what could they be thinking sending us in here blind with no support of real information on this cursed spirit.

The bumpiness from the bus came to a sudden stop as Jin took off his headphones looking around seeing his teammates Iko and Naji step off the bus. Jin would follow suit as he stepped behind them, stepping off the bus sun rays began to hit him in the eyes. Blocking the sun with his hand a slight vibration was felt in his pocket, Jin reached down and took out his phone opening up the message that was sent from the proctor. A concerned expression could be seen on his face as he looked at the picture of the Semi-Grade 2 curse known as Slicer. Jin looked at Iko and Naji not really seeing concerns on their faces but for him this was crazy, and the description didn't help either. He started shaking a little from excitement and nervousness Jin really needed to pass this exam in order to fulfill his dream. Jin smacks both his cheeks with his hands calming himself down as he spoke to Iko and Naji.

"Yo it's kinda crazy that they're sending us out to fight a semi grade 2 already. We're not even sorcerers yet but they throwing this at us and we don't have help from a high-ranking sorcerer. This is going to suckkk."

Finishing up what he was saying Jin put his phone back in his pocket thinking about the situation at the moment. He knew their captain Iko was from the Kamo clan which deals with blood, Jin likes to call them blood benders most of them get mad when he called them that. His other partner Jin didn't know much about their clan or their abilities but he guessed that's why they made these sorts of exams. Sighing some, Jin sat down on the ground taking out his phone scrolling through music as his headphones hung on his neck waiting to see what happens or what the plan will be.

8:16PM Tokyo, Japan

Time seemed to a blur to her lately, filled with one inconvenience to another and to be honest it was getting on her last nerve. Resting her head against the cool steel of the bus's window, her eyes only slits slightly overwhelmed by the brightness of the setting sun. She was hoping to at least get in a quick nap before a night of activity but the ideal chatter of her teammates as enough to make her jaws clench. It was natural to be nervous when being evaluated in any regard but their lack of an examiner did more than ruffle their feathers a bit. She heard one of them, they'd mention that exam had matched them with Semi-Grade 2. Highly unusual and only further aggravating.

Further opening her eyes as the bus came to an abrupt stop, she further took in the area...

Not very secluded, along a whole river bank... this just sounds unnecessarily messy night already. Pausing outside the bus's doors she finally opened her phone to see some more details and almost audibly laughed at the lack of detail.

'Ha, what the fuck am I suppose to do with this? Someone in 'higher education' must be having a good laugh about now.'

Turning she saw the uncertainty on her teammates faces, deciding finally to her keep her dissatisfaction to herself. This was all because someone in upper management wanted to make her 'work' for it. She was silent for a moment outside the bus as she stood besides the others trying to review their options.

'This has gone from an exam to damn near a rescue mission!'

Keeping us all in one piece while simultaneously trying to exorcise the nuisance is going to be a trial and she knew it, she didn't have the stamina to be playing around with this thing all night so it was time to make some executive decisions.

"Alright, sooooo the prey is stronger than the predator. What do you do?"

pausing to take a breath...

"Be strategic! We won't be moving far from this spot. Whatever they released is going to be looking for someone to claw into, with our presence now known it will be here eventually."

Taking out her phone again she showed them an image of the curse spirit that was sent to all their emails, with her other hand she began to focus moreso into putting up a curtain to mask their movement from the general public while also giving a brief explanation. She'd officially put on her fake ass leadership hat.

"Don't get too caught up in the prey's grade and focus more on the prey's appearance right now. Given the lack of information there's a chance it may not even be accurate. Now, look at the body. What do you see? It has a humanoid shape, 2 arms, 1 leg and a half? The only major modification being the right leg that appears to be a large blade instead.

Please note the description says: "cutting". We can assume cutting, slicing, axe or sword type attacks can be expected. Prey likely does not have any projectile based attacks, but given its humanoid appearance we may also be dealing with some low level inteligence. Prepare yourself for these possibilities, but given our current circumstances expect exceptions to this assessment."

"Be creative, evaluate your internal arsenal. What do you have that could aide in this assignment. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of fighting this curse all night. I am not a machine and cannot protect myself or anyone else in a long draw out battle. We move to execute immediately.

We will explore this area as a TEAM, and will sound the moment any of us feel, hear, taste, touch anything outside of the ordinary."

She moved brusquely passed them and began walking down alongside the river towards the bridge's underpass. Calling out backwards towards them she spoke again, implying that they'd follow her.

"Usually, the darker and creeper a place looks the higher chance of it being this thing's habitat." turning back around she faced forward trying to sense out our their target while sorting through her increasing more aggravated thoughts.

'The audacity of this school! The fact they expected me to maintain a curtain and keep my team from being slaughtered in this situation is outlandish! She was good, but she wasn't fucking All Might.'

Reaching into her trench coat, she gentle grasps one of her blood packets as if reassuring herself and calming her nerves.

'Its fine, if these guys eat shit it's on the school for being assholes, not me.'

As if at peace with her new outlook on tonight's events, her shoulders relaxed and her posture straightened with almost some pep in her step. Perhaps looking at the display of emotions within her body language would be confusing for the other students, but she herself didn't seem to have anymore cares in the world.

"Alright guys, lets gooo hunting."

Nagi's who had been patiently waiting finally received his reply from their team captain, and from the look that was sprawled across the girls face the situation wasn't impressing her either. The blonde-haired youth would keep his ears open as their team leader began to speak in reply to what he, and Jin had said. For the most part, what she said was what Nagi had expected to hear, but he was happy to hear that she had some thought's on how it must fight based on the absurd lack of information we had been given on the target of this mission. As she continued about how he was most likely a close-range combatant who used that strange morphed sword leg as a weapon a thought popped into Nagi's head that might sound strange to a normal person but, to a sorcerer it would sound plausible. "Seeing as he has that leg blade there's still a chance he could have a ranged attack. It's kinda uncommon, but both sorcerers and cursed spirits have been seen to project and manipulate cursed energy. So what if this spirit is capable of creating energy blade-like projectiles?" replied Nagi moments before Iko would begin to stroll past the two young men as she finished her speech asking about their capabilities.

As she strolled past Nagi took the hint and spun around to face the direction she was heading and proceed to follow her down the way. "To answer your last question, when it comes to abilities my Reflection Technique might not pack as much power as your Blood Manipulation, but it can turn an attacker's greatest power back upon them. Well, that's along as it uses cursed energy, for a quick rundown I can generate seals upon my body and objects connected to me along as they aren't too large. These seals reflect cursed energy, though this still means I have to deal with physical blows with my body. To counter weapon users and curses, I rely on my trusty tonfa to take the brunt of the impact for me. Other than that I can throw hands rather well," said Nagi trying to give his Captain as much info as possible so she could understand his capabilities as her cursed technique was well-known in the jujutsu world unlike his. As he continued down he would reach back placing his hand into his bag and removing a Tonfa and gripping it in his right hand in case of a surprise.

Scrolling through multiple playlists within his music library, Jin could hear his captain speaking to them and giving her thoughts on the mission they were assigned to. Jin started to get up from the ground and onto his feet clicking on his 'OH YEAH' playlist, which has all the bangers he needs to keep himself entertained or everyone around him hyped. Jin being the music enthusiast he is you could catch a glimpse of him smiling as he shifted the phone back into the right pocket. Hearing captain Iko give her speech and thoughts on the semi grade we will be going against, Jin looks at Nagi who is also giving his opinion on the situation, this got him thinking about what could happen because this mission could turn left quickly due to the lack of information that was delivered to them. Sighing some as he stretched joining Iko and Nagi who started walking ahead hearing Nagi explain his ability.

"I don't really understand your ability all that well Nagi but I guess we will see in the battle of course. I kinda have confidence in our team, to be honest with you guys. I usually don't talk but teamwork is more important right now."

As his word left his mouth, Jin picked up the pace matching the same speed as his teammates. His mind kinda wondered as he thought about finishing the exam faster so he can already start on his main goal. Sucking his teeth while shaking his head, he knew that clearing his head would be way more effective than cluttering his mind at the moment. Staying focus on the present is what needs to happen or he won't even be alive to complete his goal. Clearing his mind a bit and starting to focus more on sensing the area, Jin knew he need to be as prepared as possible for what's to come.

Each footstep swept without sound as the cursed spirit skated across the ground with supernatural swiftness. The wind bent around his movement to the point he blended in with the air to bypass team Genesis's stares and ears. "To answer your last question, when it comes to abilities my Reflection Technique might not pack as much power as your"  Nagi's sentence was cut short due to a mighty swing from a supernatural force slinging through the air in a horizontal course from left to right. Slicer's blade nearly kissed the nape of Nagi's neck; if Iko Kamo and Jin Ryu jumped into action, they would be blinded by a shifting shine of light smiting their eyes that came from the dawning sun turning into the night from up above. They would either cover their eyes to block it out, or they would face the full wrath of what was to come. Such a brutal opener could've been avoided if one of them was experienced enough to deal with such a style of attack. If Iko's shield shattered first, she would only be left with mid to long-range tactics, and a fragile teammate. The squad speculated about Slicer's attacks on the way to the bridge, but they were about to be in for a surprising ride, especially Iko who was already assumed to be her team's 'archer'.

8:22 PM Tokyo, Japan

She could hear the soles of her shoes press into the grass as they walked...

'huh?'

That's a good question, why? There's a concentration of trees with an accompanying source of water in the middle of a residential area. There should be a plethora of bugs, birds, and other various critters seeking shelter from traffic and other human activities, but yet it there was nothing but silence. Her unoccupied hand remained clasped on one of the packs of blood in her jacket pocket as  her footsteps slowed to a stop,  without removing eyes from their surroundings she spoke in the same turn as the boy behind her.

"To answer your last question, when it comes to abilities my Reflection Technique might not pack as much power as yo-"

"Something's wron-"

Whatever it was, it seemed to be moving faster than her eyes could even register it's presence, but shit could  she sense it. The weight it added to the air was debilitating, just pure senseless killing intent. This wasn't Iko's first time dealing with a curse  by far but one of this magnitude was unexpected even from them.

Her body felt sluggish.

A burst of light quickly flooding her line of sight while getting increasingly brighter, her vision was officially compromised.

Although knowing what had to be done, she didn't anticipate risking her life so damn early in the game.

Throwing her arms up in a blocking gesture to shield herself while digging the heels of her feet into the soil beneath, doing the only thing possible for her in that moment.

Paper thin abrasions appeared on her arms from the blade slightly imbedding itself into her arms. It was only due  pressure of the oncoming damage, her body struggled at the sheer weight of the impact. But she was confident, she was built for this, and no second tier ass curse going to knock her out this quickly.

Hopefully those idiots will take the hint and come up with something that can help, or at the very least retreat. It was hard to imagine Jujutsu High Officials letting her pass this exam with bodies in her wake. Gripping the pack of blood in her palm as hard as she could until it bursts, blood violently splatter all over her face and clothing.

”Tsukamo!” (Lit. Translation: Seize!

Once splattered in a messy fashion, the blood pools began to consolidate into thick ropes whipping and slashing throughout the space, it would appear as if large vipers were launching themselves towards their prey. Jaws snapping eagerly awaiting their chance, they pursed curse spirit this attack was initiated by. It would surely at least buy her some time to assess come up with some kind of strategy and get those likely to die out the damn way.

Nagi had been right in the middle of explaining his capabilities to their team leader when suddenly out of nowhere their target chose to make itself known. As the entity glided seemingly unnoticed through the area Nagi would have been caught completely off guard if it hadn't been for the timely word from Iko about something being off. While the entity move too fast for Nagi's eyes to keep up with he was still just able to register the blade in time to move out of the way as the blade nearly struck his throat. "Oh shit that was close," Though Nagi as he moved back grabbing his tonfa from his bag and getting into position ready to fight and defend. Unfortunately, for Nagi, he didn't have the best sensory capabilities but this would have to do for now as Nagi would shut his eyes so as to shield them from the blinding flash that their target had released. "Shit, Kamo, Ryu are you two ok?" asked Nagi trying to gauge the location and state of his allies seeing as his vision was currently being affected by the light. "Damn it, who would have expected this fucking curse to have some kind of AOE blinding skill," Though Nagi to himself as he focused on his sensory capabilities to help him locate the target and his allies.

The pressure in the air felt heavier than before. Jin halted in his tracks staring into a deep abyss in his mind. This was something he never felt, the pressure was on another level from what he is accustomed to. Cold sweat started dripping down his temple while his mind started racing like NASCAR competing in a derby, in that slight second life-changing questions flooded him. What would my life be like if I never knew of Jutsu High? Is finding my sister worth it? Will I die here? Am I strong enough to even protect my allies or anyone at all? Such questions can create despair and leave one falling to their death in an instant.

"EVERYONE STO-"

Jin yelled as strong gusts of wind picked up and a shadowy figured could be seen appearing out of nowhere attacking inches from Nagi who was cut off from what he was saying. Frozen like a statue, Jin stood there unable to do anything as he covered his eyes from the gust that came with the cursed spirit. Glancing he saw Nagi back off and creating space between him and the curse, on the other hand, Jin noticed his captain was getting ready to block the oncoming attack from the bladed curse. Gasping a bit, there was no way Iko thought she could take on a blow that could cut her in half right? Frame by frame time has been wasted, in these situations, one false move can be fatal.

"Move...She will die...MOVE DAMN IT!!"

Clinching his teeth. Jin bent his knees slightly as he inhaled then exhaled slowly, you could see his demeanor has changed. He wasn't going to let anyone die around him if it could be prevented. Shifting his weight to this back right leg pushing off the ground he vanished into thin air and reappearing behind Iko grabbing her collar pulling her back. As he turned covering her in his arms shielding Iko while getting struck in his back from the attack by the curse luckily escaping with a flesh wound on his back as they tumbled within the water. Who knows what might happen next to these young kids, this might not be a regular semi grade two like the school says. But this is where their story unfolds.
