Update 1: Tier boosts work in two ways. Some abilities that naturally boost a tier will be limited by nature, but some abilities don't act as a boost tier initially, however, the techniques you develop can boost your ability as a byproduct of using it for that small window of time.

Description:
The Unmei clan's inherited technique is called Cursed Cards. The users of the techniques conjures an object of cursed energy that takes the form of a small card with an insignia of the Cursed Card Monster/Figure that they are using. The base theme of the cards are focused around mythological beasts in Japanese folklore, while the rest of the cards at the user's disposal, varying between user. Each user has a set amount of cards which they produce, 7 being the minimum (including the 4 cards which are custom to the user).  Every person with the Unmei blood is a "natural" when it comes to control of Cursed Energy (CE), though they are on similar levels as everyone else, they simply are more in touch with their cursed energy. This is due to the strategic demand of their inherited technique — forcing them to be more mindful of their use regarding CE. 




BASE TECHNIQUES





The base technique(s) of this CT consists of three cards which everyone within the clan has, passed down through blood / generation. These base cards are well known creatures in Japanese folklore, and even in basic knowledge all around the world; Dragon, Kitsune, and Phoenix. These are very basic, but useful cards if used correctly in battle, the Headmasters in the Unmei Clan being perfect examples of that, practicing the fundamentals of the CT almost daily to perfection.

+ The Dragon Card is also referred to as RYUJIN, “THE GOD OF DRAGONS”.
The card imbues a large amount of pressure in the user's current region, this is done by releasing thick waves of cursed energy in the vicinity. This card's ability is something a lot of people could potentially do, but on a bigger and more controlled scale. The pressure caused by the CE initially places fear in the target, making them feel more "weighed down" in return. The card is extremely useful, allowing the Sorcerer to get the upper hand in the battle in the form of overwhelming "power".



This card is not to be used mindlessly, for its drawbacks are greater than one could suspect. Using this card requires good amounts of CE, as expected since the move itself is based on big waves of it. If used regularly in battle and not with a strategic or last ditch effort mindset, it can quickly wear out the user, leaving them at a disadvantage instead of an advantage.

+ The Kitsune card is the second strongest of the big three, following THE DRAGON. Similar to the dragon card, Kitsune is based on influencing the enemy. But instead, this card is not doing such in a negative way. Kitsune focuses on a certain type of manipulation of CE that affects the target’s brain in a specific way. In result, the target’s will to fight against the user is lessened. This ability is a very important one, for it can turn weaker opponents into allies, and have stronger opponents become weaker due to a bit of their will suddenly being lost.



Like the dragon card, Kitsune requires high amounts of CE in order to use it with great proficiency, as well as good control with such. That being said, it's also a card to be used in somewhat dire situations where the user feels as if the opponent is too strong (or in strategic manners: temporarily having low grade cursed spirits become an ally in battle).  The amount of cursed energy used in this card will be the deciding factor on it’s affectability.  Low amounts will prove to be useless, and may affect low grade cursed spirits slightly. Medium amounts won’t do much against high ranking spirits,  but will influence low ranking ones more easily. High/Large amounts will influence high ranking spirits more easily, and guaranteed, it’ll influence low ranking ones. This leaves weaker users at a disadvantage when using kitsune, but that’s expected from such a useful technique.

+ The Phoenix Card is also known as "THE NURSE CARD", and for good reason. The card is probably one of, if not the, most used card the Unmei Clan has. The card is a healing type card, which takes inspiration from the popular creature; The Phoenix. When the card is active, it'll heal minor wounds on the person by creating an ash-like substance around the wound, acting as a nigh instantaneous healing product. This charring is reference to when a Phoenix dies, it's body turns to ash soon to be reincarnated, and so on. 

This phoenix card, like the other two, is CE taxing but not as much. This is due to it depending on the size and severity of the wound. It's mainly used for minor wounds; primarily open ones, such as cuts, but can't be used for closed wounds like bruises. But don't expect it to be as effective. Despite that, some stronger and more experienced clan members use it for more severe wounds. Gashes, severing of the finger or toe/hand, just things of such nature -- but this is usually done through this card and some Positive Cursed Energy (PCE).

As you've read, these three cards are accessible by all sorcerers who are blessed with it in the clan. Though it's level of usage varies, of course. Not everyone is born the same, nor equal, that is why these three cards are the only cards that those with the inherited tech has access to. Through the Inherited Technique, each clan member is born with the minimum of 4 cards personalized to the user. These cards are predetermined as soon as they are forming inside the womb and can't be changed by any other means. That's what makes them even more unique. These cards can be based on any scientific study, ancient myth, and even a singular person, whatever it is, it's versatility and strength is all dependent on the user's creativity. As all abilities are.




Taking a deeper dive into the technique, one will find that there are 3 categories of cards in this technique. 

- Main Cards (Cards which has its own complex ability, These cards can only be used once in a turn, for however long it's cooldown is...which is personally set by the owner of said card),

- Base Cards (These cards are lesser cards, such as the Phoenix, Dragon, and Kitsune Card. These don't have as complex abilities etc., and only two types of these cards can be placed in one turn for however said cooldown is), and

- Sub-Cards (These cards are branched off of either Base or Main Cards. They complete a specific and straightforward action, lessening the time needed to cast such an attack; originally. Example, say you have a base / main card which allows you to control vines, you can use a sub card of such to execute a shield via a wall of vines. Etc. etc. Only 4 of these cards can be casted in one turn.) 

Overall, this is a very physically and mentally demanding inherited technique, and many users don't go too far with it because of that. It takes a lot of dedication due to it's versatility.

Dragon Fist is a Rare Ryu Clan technique that manifests in 4 out of every 1000 Ryu in a generation. Whereas Dragon Hand develops users cursed control, Dragon Fist is dependent solely on the user's potential as a being. You will never find a Ryu whose cursed energy is moderate who is capable of pulling it off, No matter how great their cursed control is. That means only those with high and above can hope to conjure this technique. It is said that those capable of using Dragon Fist embody the fists of the Dragon God Itself. Like Dragon Hand, the few capable will likely have developed their own properties and application of the jujutsu. The raw destructive potential combined with cursed energy affinity is rare enough that very few can attain it. Most Ryu are capable of utilizing the Dragon Hand, but no matter how much one trains,  Few dragons can unleash the Dragon fist. An old saying goes. "The fists of the Dragon will topple the mountain".

Description:
Dragon Hand Is an ancient martial art developed for Jujutsu Sorcery. Because it has remained a close-knit clan secret, it is considered an Inherited Technique. Within the Ryu, only a handful of instructors exist. The idea is for users to command excellent control of their cursed energy. Users must learn to concentrate then erupt their cursed energy creating pulses and shockwaves. These shockwaves are not just meant to cause external damage, but rather, to implant and cause internal rupturing on a target. The discipline is meant to cultivate the talent over a period of time. Punches are firm and seem to gain some fluidity from modern boxing, as the combat style has evolved with the times. Description: The Reflection Technique is an inherited technique passed down in the Seijūrō Family. It is a powerful yet simple technique that allows for one to manifest special seals upon different parts of their bodies, most often the user’s hands.

These seals allow for the user to reflect/redirect the cursed energy of anything that makes contact with it away or in the case of a physical attack empowered by cursed energy (i.e. Black Flash, Divergent Fist) then the seal will reflect the energy back damaging the user of said technique. While this technique may be strong the main downfall is that when dealing with empowered physical attacks one must be able to counter or defend against the physical aspect of the attack or suffer damage as the Reflection technique will only affect the cursed energy aspect of the attack.

RP Usage: The Reflection Techniques ability can be used up to five times during a battle, and once it's used five times you will have a cooldown of 10 posts before the ability can reset. You have to use up all of your 5 seals before the reset can happen.

The usage of the technique and its ability to reflect attacks is all based upon the power of the attack and the users own power. Attacks of a weaker than that of the user’s abilities will only expend a single seal, while a technique of equal power will use up two. When used to reflect something on a greater scale it can use up to 3 seals in a single usage. If you manage to reflect a skill of a greater magnitude it will not only burn through 3 seals it will also take more out of the user raising the cooldown by 5 posts for a total of 15.

When used the user needs to keep track of their Cursed Energy Reserves as even those with high reserves can quickly burn through their reserves using the technique.

Description: Musical Beat Down(Innate Technique)

  • Jin’s technique can manipulate and generate music, an art form whose body is a medium to sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch which includes melody and harmony, rhythm and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. This concept of the technique works by Jin listening to music through his headphones while fighting. With him listening to music he feels each beat, instrument,and melody which he can turn into sound to expel from his body in different pitches, vibrations, and sound waves based on the situation (Like Gakuganji but upgraded).  


Restriction

  • The restriction for this Innate ability is that Jin has to have something that can play music through his headphones. This restriction makes his abilities stronger.

Description:The trademark of the Makotsu. Despite being one of the larger clans in terms of numbers, those that show the ability to become a sorcerer are few and far between, and those that are end up locked away for hours on end, confined from their families. Once the person in question has reached a breaking point, they are then influenced to believe that it’s them versus the world. This is the foundation for Nemesis: it preys on the insecurities of the user and weaponizes it against spirits. There's not much to it besides that; it's just the ugliest parts of a person that are brought to the surface and empowers those who inherit the technique, giving them a literal outlet for these pent up feelings.

There are 3 applications of Nemesis found in the Makotsu. Only one is ever learned by a Makotsu in their lifetime, with the Clan Head being the only exception, where they have to learn all three.

Tagiranai (滾る; Seethe): The act of mediumship. Those who subscribe to this tree of Nemesis specialize in using their hatred in an outlet, often through the use of cursed tools to enhance the capabilities of them. Essentially acting as a temporary curse to whatever object the user hold, anything that can be held in their hands is boosted in all capabilities based on the Energy Reserves of the user.

Nama (生; Birth): The act of manipulation. This tree is full of those who are able to become removed of their hatred, having the ability to mold their energy into specific shapes as they see fit. The energy when leaving the body is black and wisp-like in appearance, though once made to take shape it becomes jagged and stiff like a sand material. Most of those in this branch find themselves with high Curse Control.

Ikenie (犠; Sacrifice): The act of reckless abandon. Where others learn to use their hatred as a tool, these Makotsu fully succumb to their emotions, the rage fueling them and strengthening them in battle. The scariest ally to have given the fact that once they tap into their ability they loose any sort of recognition of life, these Makotsu are often physically inclined and can enter a state of Pure Hatred in which they can be enhanced. Their Pure Hatred forms are silhouettes of their normal shape, though they are accompanied by a red outline and white eyes.

Sound Control is an Innate Technique possessed by the now exiled jujutsu sorcerer Reiji Hiruma. It grants him the power to control and manipulate sound. Unlike other sound-based abilities like Yoshinobu Gakuganji’s unnamed Sound Amplification technique Sound Control require existing sounds to work. Again unlike Yoshinobu Gakuganji who can amplify sound Reiji is limited to controlling and manipulating sound, though while he cannot amplify sound he can quite easily diminish and even neutralize sound.

Techniques:
Silent (無音, Muon) - Silent is probably Reiji most simple, but highly used technique. It simply allows him to control the sound produced by himself and the objects he is holding, effectively neutralising it and making himself soundless. This means that he is unable to generate any sound making it impossible to track him by sound.

Silent World (無言世界, Mugonsekai) - Silent Space allows for Reiji at the snap of his fingers to create a soundproof field to surround himself or another with. The field prevents any sound coming from within from leaving, as well as blocking all outside sounds from entering. The field itself can be modified in multiple ways as its space can be whatever Reiji envisions and can even be set to neutralise all sound that would be generated inside it if Reiji chooses.

Description


The Unmei Clan's first Inherited Technique is a rather versatile ability that both Kensaku and Mitei possess. This technique allows them to create requests and bring out people's deepest desires. Not only does the person they refer to become mind controlled (IF they have a ‘want’ in life) and will have the urge to tell them what they want (in a certain situation or literally what they want in general), they literally generate their ‘wants’ in front of them. If they want to become wealthy in life, They can literally generate large amounts of money. If they want pleasure, They can literally summon large numbers of women or men. Whatever they desire, it will occur, though at a cost. This is Unmei's Inherited Technique.

The ability to bring out people's deepest desires to satisfy their needs and wants. This allows him to generate something called a CURSE PACT in which They will literally create a contract between them, using their Cursed Energy to literally CREATE. They either already know or WILL know about someone's deepest desire and will offer them a contract. With a handshake or another form of mutual agreement, They will show proof that they will be able to fulfill their desires. It can be whatever, and whatever it is, if both they and the person agree, the Curse Pact will then be complete, finalizing the contract. They will get what they ask for, and they can also politely decline if they want to, but once they make the Contract, it is ultimately set in stone. The Contract is not word sensitive, meaning that the contract will know what you are talking about depending on what you wish for. It is literally what it seems, but the Contract has two rules: 1, the Contract will never be broken by any deity. No matter how much cursed energy you have, no matter how much strength you have, you will NEVER break it. This rule is placed so the other participant can't make false promises in return for something they want. And if the user breaks the contract themselves, everything the participant(s) wished for would disperse as well as the user's (So if the user asks them to be their body guard, and in return they will be rich, that will happen. The participant's brain will have this urge to protect the user, and the participant will gain large amounts of money. But, say if the user calls this off, which is allowed since they are the user of the ability, then not only will the participant not have their added money anymore, but they also won't feel the urge to protect the user. If that makes sense.). The contract tethers itself to the very ‘soul’ itself, latching onto them for as long as they live, and for as long as they die. The 2nd rule is: if the CONTRACTEE does not follow their words exactly as they contracted too, the contractee will have something valuable taken from them. Their Energy.

A large sum of their cursed energy literally gets stripped from their body. Literally. They will still have their natural physicality and their techniques at their disposal, but they’ll lose some energy used which will then be transferred to the user directly.  He can be merciful enough to plant their cursed energy back in their body and take something else from them in return, or take nothing away at all-- but that’s only if the user chooses to. Although there are indeed limits to this Contract ability, it is rather self-explanatory. He cannot say “I become Omnipotent to the universe in return of you getting all the women you want.” As that is out of his range to his power. He can only make deals that involve that one person and one person alone. Of Course he can say things like “I become omnipotent to YOUR body”, but really, who would want that? As they can always politely decline. This ability seems to be rather unique as well, because he can even make a contract with ‘soulless beings.’ Those beings being things like objects or non-conscious things, like literally living trees, a wooden table, or anything, granting them anthropomorphic properties and giving them a ‘Soul/Spirit.’ They will obviously be confused, but their first bit of knowledge will be his ability, the ability to Grant Wishes, and their mission (By mission, this can be as the user chooses. Going back to the tree for an example, the user can order it to outstretch it's branches to maybe stab or bind the requested target or the user can simply just give it life for some fun cool companion.) The downside to this is, if the user is not focused on, say, controlling the tree, then the tree will not do what the user orders, or at least not with the proficiency the user would like. The same goes if the user is tired, lacking needed cursed energy, or if the task is too complex for the user's current range of Abilities.
Obviously, if the user just plain out gives the object a soul, with no clear cut objective, like a normal living being, they can politely decline and simply go back to their regular ways of having no soul, but if they were to say yes (which would be heavily limited because things like a chair doesn’t really have knowledge or things like wants), they would literally be a walking, talking object, as giving a contract to things without souls provides them with a soul, emotions, and things to experience life, if they wish. This does not work for Cursed Energy, but a large amount of cursed energy (and I mean large) may be able to be turned into an entity. Keep in mind,

That is not all to this ability, though. CONTRACT can not only be put on other people and even objects, but a contract can even be put on Their BODY alone. After discovering this power, the user can set a contract on themselves. The contract is a contract on their own body, or rather, the very contract itself. As the Contractor, they can put contracts on themselves, allowing them to have multiple pacts on their body. Obviously, since it is on their own body, they cannot simply make themselves omnipotent or all-powerful or make themselves insanely powerful or something like that. They also cannot make a contract that affects other people's bodies, like saying “Let me control this person's blood” or “This person will get hypnotized.” It is out of their power to do things like that. Unless the person they contract with agrees, they cannot do things to other people's bodies or cursed energy. Regardless of how unique this power is, The Elders within the Unmei Clan made a  vow with the user's to not use contracts in a rather selfish way. A vow which is reinforced with Cursed Energy, and most importantly, morals. Not only will the more selfishly based contracts they display, the more physical pain they endure (either passively or upon creation/activation), they also get mentally attacked, for they would have to willingly go against their Elder's words, and break trust and promises they vowed to never break.

Of course, they cannot spam Curse Pacts again and again, as that would wear out their cursed energy pretty fast, and again, they cannot affect other peoples bodies without permission. They cannot go against someone and say “Contract, what is this person's ability?” As that is out of both his and his techniques ability. The pacts scale to his Grade Level, as sorcerers with a higher grade level acquire more contracts towards their Cursed Technique, while sorcerers with a lower grade level take easier contracts and pacts. They can, however, infuse contracts with the surrounding area around him, allowing them to infuse objects, beings and even other ‘Techniques’ with contraction capabilities, allowing him to empower and energize them and allowing them to manipulate their qualities and efficiency. This means they can potentially make a ‘Pact’ with the ground, and be able to briefly manipulate the ground for a bit, or make a contract with their blood to be able to manipulate his blood for a bit. It all depends on his overall surroundings, power, and skill. 

            They may even be able to ‘break’ the contract or link between two things.

Not only does the person they refer to become mind controlled (IF they have a ‘want’ in life) and will have the urge to tell them what they want (in a certain situation or literally what they want in general), they literally generate their ‘wants’ in front of them. If they want to become wealthy in life, They can literally generate large amounts of money. If they want pleasure, They can literally summon large numbers of women or men. Whatever they desire, it will occur, though at a cost. This is Unmei's Inherited Technique.

The ability to bring out people's deepest desires to satisfy their needs and wants. This allows him to generate something called a CURSE PACT in which They will literally create a contract between them, using their Cursed Energy to literally CREATE. They either already know or WILL know about someone's deepest desire and will offer them a contract. With a handshake or another form of mutual agreement, They will show proof that they will be able to fulfill their desires. It can be whatever, and whatever it is, if both they and the person agree, the Curse Pact will then be complete, finalizing the contract. They will get what they ask for, and they can also politely decline if they want to, but once they make the Contract, it is ultimately set in stone. The Contract is not word sensitive, meaning that the contract will know what you are talking about depending on what you wish for. It is literally what it seems, but the Contract has two rules: 1, the Contract will never be broken by any deity. No matter how much cursed energy you have, no matter how much strength you have, you will NEVER break it. This rule is placed so the other participant can't make false promises in return for something they want. And if the user breaks the contract themselves, everything the participant(s) wished for would disperse as well as the user's (So if the user asks them to be their body guard, and in return they will be rich, that will happen. The participant's brain will have this urge to protect the user, and the participant will gain large amounts of money. But, say if the user calls this off, which is allowed since they are the user of the ability, then not only will the participant not have their added money anymore, but they also won't feel the urge to protect the user. If that makes sense.). The contract tethers itself to the very ‘soul’ itself, latching onto them for as long as they live, and for as long as they die. The 2nd rule is: if the CONTRACTEE does not follow their words exactly as they contracted too, the contractee will have something valuable taken from them. Their Energy.

A large sum of their cursed energy literally gets stripped from their body. Literally. They will still have their natural physicality and their techniques at their disposal, but they’ll lose some energy used which will then be transferred to the user directly.  He can be merciful enough to plant their cursed energy back in their body and take something else from them in return, or take nothing away at all-- but that’s only if the user chooses to. Although there are indeed limits to this Contract ability, it is rather self-explanatory. He cannot say “I become Omnipotent to the universe in return of you getting all the women you want.” As that is out of his range to his power. He can only make deals that involve that one person and one person alone. Of Course he can say things like “I become omnipotent to YOUR body”, but really, who would want that? As they can always politely decline. This ability seems to be rather unique as well, because he can even make a contract with ‘soulless beings.’ Those beings being things like objects or non-conscious things, like literally living trees, a wooden table, or anything, granting them anthropomorphic properties and giving them a ‘Soul/Spirit.’ They will obviously be confused, but their first bit of knowledge will be his ability, the ability to Grant Wishes, and their mission (By mission, this can be as the user chooses. Going back to the tree for an example, the user can order it to outstretch it's branches to maybe stab or bind the requested target or the user can simply just give it life for some fun cool companion.) The downside to this is, if the user is not focused on, say, controlling the tree, then the tree will not do what the user orders, or at least not with the proficiency the user would like. The same goes if the user is tired, lacking needed cursed energy, or if the task is too complex for the user's current range of Abilities.
