The Track and Field

The dirt road leads from the Campus grounds to a shoddy building that houses the small wooden floor gym. Various lockers and lodging sits between the entrance and the field itself a large green section sits at the center of the red track. Stands for fans sit around the track, though it has typically been empty due to the limited amount of sorcerers and people knowledgeable of their exploits. The Field has multipurpose use and is one of the largest most open areas present.

For Nagi who had been watching the movements of his most recent opponent and his mentor as they prepared, he would be given a front-row seat to an onslaught of highly skilled grappling and shoot wrestling as the two would end up grappled and Majin attempted to use his superior strength to overpower the young dragon of the Ryu Clan. After the two had broken up their little display of what could only be called family bonding, a new and interesting event would occur as Majin would remove the jacket that he had been wearing the whole time. What was present under his jacket was none other than a heavily scarred body that made it very clear that Majin was no pushover who had only got by thanks to his amazing physical prowess and was in fact someone who fought tooth and nail to claw his way up to where he is now. This was something that nagi could really respect and another reason why he was annoyed to have failed to show his skill to this man. During this time it was also made much clearer that this was merely a sparring match between cousins as well as Teacher and Student as it quickly became clear to Nagi that Ao was in a very bad position and Majin could have simply unleashed an onslaught of destructive blows to the boy, but instead he had chosen to stand himself up and grant the boy a chance to get up and prepare to continue. As they started against Nagi attempted to focus on Majin's movements, but at the speed, he was moving and how precise his action was as they displayed no wasted motion it was impossible for Nagi to speak or do anything but watch and try to learn from his new sensei so to not fail the way he had before next time.

Ao fixated on Majin's unorthodox means of addressing his low kick. Nearly defying his own balance, he climbed through the rain to check it with his own shin. The upward-lurching sinews of his cousin's quadricep presented themselves to the hunching Ao Ryu as gleaming threads of hope, rendered matte bronze in the overcast air. So once again he leaped, once again he grasped, only this time towards a different source. He moved now not in a desperate defensive or act of clinging, but instead for himself. This time Ao's slender feet fashioned themselves towards what he believed to be victory.  In an attempt to kick, the two's shins collide only momentarily, brushing alongside and against one another for dominance. Ao somehow attempts to prop his leg awkwardly beneath Majin's, conveniently so that his knee is behind his? This comes as some sort of attempt to dislodge Majin's lead foot, only inches above the ground to the dirt beyond the sandbags. In one way or another, this was a repeat of what he had attempted to Nagi sometime before. Though, Nagi had attempted a kick. Checking a kick required little effort or height to manage. He believes his lunge would nullify the impact of Majin's attempted chop, and this is somewhat right. It seemed an odd choice to commit to this. They were at least a foot away from the edge, and now far closer to one another. Even if he could simply stamp his foot outside. He would need power and momentum to do so. Majin could and would quite simply stamp his foot into the ground at any cost. Even if Ao had taken it within his hands, his average physical strength would not move Majin as easily as he had assumed, especially with how fast his leg regained contact with the ground below.

Due to his sudden shift in position, and his commitment to the inevitable, Majin's hand chops down onto his back, at the center of his back. Maybe Ao had calculated it would land to the left of the trapezius, however, with a subtle adjustment from Majin, it would strike the center, directly at the spine. It feels like a metal pipe swung at its maximum, thwapping him and causing a sudden lapse in his breath. There would be a severe stinging and burning sensation, causing his pale flesh to turn red immediately. The pain was shocking, startling, and outright uncomfortable, yet, his scrawny body would survive, at least. Majin decides to latch tightly on the boy's loose shirt, gripping it and yanking it forward up and over the boy's hunched over and unyielding frame. Suddenly the world is covered in cloth as he cannot see what is in front or to the side of him. It would take only a fraction of a second to accomplish this from this close. This action had a dual purpose, as the force behind it would cause Ao's position, his head, and neck, to travel further downward as a result. From here, his right arm rests violent against the back of Ao's neck and head. His face would be facing downward. From this range, it was impossible for him to counter this effect. Due to fully committing himself.

With his left arm tucked at his torso, Majin thrust it forward, attempting to press his forearm arm under the neck area around Ao. Because Majin hadn't lifted his leg very high off the ground, attempting to latch onto his thigh meant subjecting himself to a lower position, even if only slightly. Majin loops his left arm under Ao's neck, bending his upper body over the boy's own. This traps the boy under Majin's torso. His elbows tuck into his body giving nothing more for Ao to latch onto. What would follow was a powerful choke, cutting the air from the boy making any action that much more taxing. The tightening grip is instant and apparent. Would Ao turn red if he couldn't breathe fully?  With his remaining balance, he utilizes his now free right hand, along with the bare and exposed back of Ao and locks it on his own right elbow, keeping Ao in place. It became a small, short struggle attempt at balance and strength. Ao would find Majin even difficult to move in this position. Without the necessary physical strength to fully move his leg and move his body. His plan would only end in a battle of attrition. And yet, before it could even be allowed to extend that far, Ao obscured from beneath his shirt, would begin to feel his body lift off the ground. As the air was cut off, so too did his circulation. His torso and legs would leave the ground in mere moments, as his body began to flip over. Majin had attempted to hoist the boy up from a standing headlock position. He had the physical capabilities at least. Majin was sure to thrust himself backward half a foot for distance.

With his rear foot taking over for most of his balance, the act would go forth even if his left leg hadn't been placed squarely back into the mud. Majin's physical ability meant even in unbalanced situations, he maintained a quality of strength, especially in his upper body and torso. Ao had likely assumed that by unbalancing Majin just a little, he could reduce his power and productivity. To most opponents this was true. Yet, Majin had a strength that defied the standard laws of motion and physics. This was the gift and curse of having no cursed energy whatsoever.  If he could be creative enough, he could apply the strength in whichever way suited his situation. In this case, had Majin's lead foot been on the ground, or had it been in the air. Even if clutched tightly by young Ao, he would find his own legs leaving the ground while still in the choking position. This act would lead to the young dragon being slammed directly into the mud on his back. Both males would find themselves face up. This would likely be unexpected and devastating given the nature of it. Both would slam into the mud beneath with a sizable slam upon the ground. Those watching would likely feel the impact just based on how miraculous it seemed. The burning sensation from before would likely have been that much more rigorous given the circumstance. It was likely to knock the wind out of him, given the fact he would have been choked just moments before. In wrestling, Majin had gone from standing headlock into a standing throw.
(ref 1) (ref 2)

Had Majin been successful in this attempt, he could and would transition himself into side guard. Propping himself up to Ao's left side. He could do this in but a moment by turning his body over from his back, transitioning to being on his knees.
